A girl, a camera,
and her best friend Luna
The internet has no shortage of dog-friendly lists. This one has Luna in the photos.

The human half
I’m Lauren — a front-end developer from central Illinois with a camera, a golden retriever, and a long list of places I want to take her.
I’m a comfort traveler by nature. Hotels over tents, good coffee over early wake-ups, a bookstore in every city if I can manage it. Luna has made me a better traveler. She slows things down in the best way, and she has strong opinions about where we stop.
The blog started as a way to document the trips worth remembering. It’s still that. I think there’s something important about keeping a record of places visited, meals eaten, and mornings spent watching a golden retriever lose her mind over a new smell.

The golden half
Luna is my golden retriever. Born March 17, 2018. She has been the star of this blog since day one, and she knows it.
She trained as a therapy dog when she was young, visiting my grandparents in their nursing home, tail going the whole time.
On the road she has strong opinions. She will find every dog-friendly patio within a five-mile radius. She digs at every beach whether or not digging is encouraged. She jumps over ocean waves rather than through them, which I have never been able to explain. She has perfected the side-eye but deploys it sparingly, which makes it more powerful.
She does not take directions well. She photographs beautifully
